In April 2025, Homecare Gurus proudly partnered with Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation (CHDF) in Ruai, Nairobi, in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at bringing hope, joy, and support to differently-abled children and young adults. The foundation is home to over 140 children living with various disabilities, providing them with care, education, and a safe environment. This impactful event is part of Homecare Gurus’ ongoing commitment to uplifting communities and empowering vulnerable groups.
To show love, empathy, and support to children living with disabilities. To provide essential items that meet the foundation’s daily needs. To foster a sense of community involvement and social responsibility within our team. To create awareness about the importance of inclusive care and support for people living with disabilities.
The Compassionate Hands for the Disabled Foundation is a registered charitable organisation based in Ruai, Nairobi. It provides residential care, therapy, education, and rehabilitation to children and young adults living with disabilities. CHDF is home to over 140 children, offering them a safe haven filled with love, care, and hope for a better future
Guided by the belief that every act of kindness creates ripples of positive change, the Homecare Gurus team spent a day engaging with
the children and carers at CHDF.
The visit was an eye-opener for the team and reaffirmed our belief in inclusive care and service. Both the Homecare Gurus team and CHDF staff expressed a mutual desire to continue this relationship beyond a one-day event. The joy on the faces of the children and caregivers was a clear show of the power of kindness and community-driven support
